Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540 is a cult unisex eau de parfum created by Francis Kurkdjian to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the crystal house Baccarat. The fragrance was conceived as an olfactory interpretation of crystal heated to 540 degrees — the temperature at which it acquires its signature red hue. The composition embodies radiance, transparency, and the refined play of light, transforming them into a sensual and unforgettable scent.
Fragrance opening
The fragrance opens with an airy and slightly spicy accord of saffron blended with jasmine. This introduction creates the impression of a luminous, almost glowing cloud — both light and насыщенный. Saffron adds warm, subtly sweet spiciness, while jasmine brings floral clarity and softness to the composition.
At the heart unfolds a mineral-amber accent built around ambroxan.
It creates a distinctive sensation of transparent density — like crystal that is both weightless and powerful at the same time. This accord forms the recognizable signature of the fragrance, its “radiant aura” that seems to envelop the skin.
The base is composed of woody cedar notes and resinous nuances.
